LAURA
OLSON: "Morning Show" co-host.
Laura
Olson has been working at KLGR since 2000, starting
out as a Morning Show side kick and adding the duties
of News Director and Program Director. Laura enjoys
following local politics, events and hearing about
the success of various organizations in our area.
In 2006 Laura traveled to Iraq to embed with Minnesota
soldiers. It was definitely a highlight of her career
reporting live from Baghdad. She enjoys working
with the military and law enforcement getting the
word out about their work. You can hear Laura on
the morning show with Chad Smith, Monday through
Friday from 7 AM to 9 AM and with news reports at
7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 12 Noon, 5:00 PM, 6 PM and 10
PM.
Laura's husband-Alan is a physician in Redwood Falls
at ACMC. Laura has a current RN license and they
met at a hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They have
3 children-Adam, Sara and Alex.
In her spare time she enjoys public speaking, gardening,
cooking, entertaining, movies, reading and traveling.
She is actively involved in our area through United
Way, Gloria Dei Church Council, Park and Rec. Commission
and volunteering with the schools.

| Chad
Smith has been the morning show co-host and sports
broadcaster for the Redwood Valley Cardinals since
the winter of 2005. He's a South Dakota native, but
he's okay anyway! Chad's been in radio since the summer
of 1990, so he's getting a little long in the tooth!
Moving to Redwood Falls was a little like coming home,
because he graduated from college just down the road
in Marshall and spent seven years in Southwest Minnesota.
He keeps busy with his family at home, affectionately
called Team Smith, because they could almost be their
own softball team! And no, there will NOT be a number
nine to fill out the team! Chad is married to Monique,
and they have six energetic children, and they love
being in Redwood Falls! |

Randy
Clausen, Sports Director and host of "Midday Café"
10am until 2pm
It's a great gig if you can get it! That phrase
best describes the maitre d' of the "Midday Café"
and Sports Director Randy Clausens' day at KLGR.
In addition to being on the "air" from 10am until
2pm Monday through Friday, where he keeps you up
to date with News, Sports, Weather, and Farm Market
information he mixes in some of that old country
with the new. Randy really enjoys the old country
tunes and highlights one each day with his "Golden
Oldie". Randy is also on the move most game nights
with play by play coverage of High School Sports.
As Sports
Director, nobody covers the area like Randy. From
Volleyball in the Fall, to Baseball in the Spring,
and everything in between, Randy has covered State
Champions in Football, Volleyball, Girls' Basketball,
Softball and Baseball. Randy is also on several
times a day with Sports updates and updates the
web site every morning with Sports scores and stories.
To bring it to a local level he features a Coaches
Corner program with the Redwood Valley Coaches and
area Coaches every Saturday from Fall through the
Winter Sports season. For play by play and Sports
information KLGR is "Radio you can depend on".
With what
little time is left Randy loves to play Fantasy
Football, watch sports, supports the local teams(remember
he bleeds purple), spends time with his wife Kathy
and their families. He is also an elder in his Church,
and helps out with the Redwood Area Special Olympics
Volleyball teams.

TOBYN
OSBORNE: on the air from 5:00pm-10:00pm.
Time has certainly flown by since Tobyn joined KLGR
1490's announcing staff back in September of 1997.
He started out as a part-time dee-jay working the
weekend shifts, quickly moving up to full-time status.
He's seen a lot of changes over the years at KLGR,
including new owners, new co-workers and different
on-air hours (now working from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays).
Despite all that, he is still the music director,
making sure KLGR's listeners keep hearing the best
country music - both old and new! A native of Minnesota
(born in Pipestone), he lived and went to school in
Maynard until 1970; moved with his family to Garretson,
South Dakota, for a few years before settling back
in Russell, Minnesota, where he graduated in 1978.
He and his family later moved to Marshall, where he
attended Southwest State University (now Southwest
Minnesota State University). After trying out several
different majors, he finally settled on Radio and
Television, obviously preferring the radio side of
his studies - graduating in 1986. During his studies,
he gained media experience by working for the Marshall
Independent newspaper, working in both the news and
sports departments. And, well before joining KLGR,
Tobyn worked for several years as a part-time announcer
at KBJJ-FM in Marshall, where he honed his announcing
skills.
When he's not working at KLGR, he enjoys watching
classic movies and listening to classic rock from
the '60s and '70s. He also has a fondness for the
classic old cars from the '50s and '60s, which he
believes were some of the best automobiles built by
Detroit. |

| Paul
Trambley is a meteorologist with Weather Eye.
He joins Chad and Laura during the morning show to
give details on the area weather forecast and during
threats of severe weather. |
 |
| Tom
Rothman has been a farm broadcaster for 24 plus
years. He attends numerous farm meetings, conventions
and events throughout the year. Tom visit with political
leaders, farm organization members and farmers to
keep us informed on the last Agricultural News. Listen
for Tom on KLGR 1490 with farm reports. |
